📍 Location

Floating Turtle

Floating Turtle is a large, unique island in the Third Sea shaped like a giant turtle shell with elevated terrain and rocky outcroppings. It's accessible after reaching the Third Sea via the gateway. Longma spawns on the upper elevated section of the island — climb the rocky paths or use flight to reach the plateau at the top of the Floating Turtle. The arena is open with multiple ledges, making positioning and knockback a key consideration throughout the fight.

🎁 Drops

Tushita (quest)

Longma is the gatekeeper for the Tushita quest — you must defeat him as part of the Tushita unlock questline, making him one of the most important Third Sea bosses. The Tushita sword is one of the strongest weapons in the entire game, so this is a fight every serious player needs to complete. The 20-minute respawn is manageable for farming the questline completion.

⚔️ How to Beat Longma

Required for Tushita quest. Dodge his charge attacks and punish during recovery.

Longma's most dangerous attack is his Dragon Charge — he rears back with a glowing aura, then launches forward in a straight line at incredible speed. This attack deals enormous burst damage and often knocks players off the elevated Floating Turtle terrain, which can be immediately fatal. The counter is straightforward but requires practice: sidestep diagonally the moment you see him begin to rear back. Never backstep in a straight line as his hitbox tracks slightly. After the charge completes, there is a 2-second recovery animation where he decelerates — this is your primary damage window for landing full combos.

Longma also has a roar ability that creates a shockwave in all directions, dealing moderate damage and applying a brief stun. This is his "get-off-me" tool when players get too close. The tell is a loud roar sound and a brief amber glow — immediately jump or dash away when you hear it. Staying at mid-range between his charge and his roar's effective range (roughly 15-20 studs) is the ideal positioning for this fight. This keeps you safe from both his charge path and the roar shockwave radius.

For the Tushita questline specifically, you need to be on the quest when the kill occurs — make sure you've spoken to the NPC and have the active quest tracking before engaging Longma. Losing the kill to another player while on quest is frustrating; consider fighting during off-peak hours or jumping to a low-population server for your quest kill. After securing the quest completion, you can continue farming for the direct Tushita drop on subsequent kills.
