Greybeard is classified as Hard for the First Sea because he's significantly more powerful than other First Sea bosses despite the relatively lower level requirement. His power reflects his position as a legendary naval commander — he has noticeably higher HP, harder-hitting attacks, and more complex patterns than the Ice Admiral or Cyborg. His signature attack is the Admiral's Shockwave — he slams the ground with both fists and sends a radial earthquake shockwave in all directions. The shockwave hugs the ground and cannot be jumped over unless you're airborne before it reaches you. The tell is the wind-up animation where he raises both hands simultaneously — immediately jump or dash when you see this.
Greybeard's most powerful attack is his Marine Cannon Barrage — he summons three off-screen marine cannons that fire sequentially at your current position. Each cannonball creates a splash damage zone on impact, so the safe play is to sprint diagonally between barrage shots rather than in a straight line. If you're fighting with a crew, spread out so the cannons can only target one player at a time rather than clustering damage. The 4-6 hour respawn makes every kill attempt valuable — never waste it by dying to predictable cannon patterns.
