📍 Location
Dark Arena
Dark Arena is a dedicated boss arena in the Second Sea, unlocked by interacting with the Darkbeard summon NPC and meeting the Rare Artifact requirement. The arena is instanced, meaning you need to trigger the summon and enter as a group. It features a large circular battle platform with dark stone aesthetics and limited cover. Navigate to the Second Sea hub island and look for the Darkbeard raid NPC near the docks.
🎁 Drops
Rare Artifact, Beli
The Rare Artifact is a valuable currency-like item used for various Second Sea transactions and raids. Beli drops from Darkbeard are also generous for mid-game players. With a 15-minute respawn on a public spawn cycle, he's an efficient gold and item farm for players in the level 1000-1300 range. The 2x Drop gamepass increases your Rare Artifact drop rates.
⚔️ How to Beat Darkbeard
Entry-level raid boss. Good for learning raid mechanics.
Darkbeard is the perfect introduction to raid-style boss encounters in Blox Fruits. Unlike standard bosses, the Dark Arena summon requires players to pool a Rare Artifact to trigger the spawn — this mechanic teaches you the fundamentals of coordinated group resource management. Once inside, Darkbeard uses a combination of dark energy blasts and melee attacks that follow predictable patterns. His most common attack is a wide horizontal dark slash that covers roughly 180 degrees in front of him — position yourself behind him or at his flanks to completely avoid this.
Darkbeard telegraphs his special dark energy ball attack with a winding-up motion where his fists glow black. This projectile moves at moderate speed and can be dodged with a single dash to the side. The key error new players make is panicking and dashing backward — this often puts you in the path of a secondary projectile he fires at a slight downward angle. Instead, sidestep left or right and immediately re-engage. His attack patterns repeat in a predictable cycle, making this an excellent boss to practice memorizing attack timings.
For first-time Second Sea players, Darkbeard is excellent for building your fundamental boss-fighting habits: keep Instinct active, learn to identify attack tells before they land, and practice positioning to avoid AoE zones. Experienced players can comfortably solo him at level 1000-1100 with a good sword build. Groups of 2-3 make the fight trivially easy and significantly faster for repeated farming.
