⚔️ How to Beat Awakened Ice Admiral

Drops key for Library. Use fire-based attacks if possible.

The Awakened Ice Admiral is a significant step up from his First Sea counterpart. His awakened state grants him enhanced speed, larger AoE attack coverage, and a new Blizzard Cage ability that's the signature threat of this fight. Blizzard Cage creates a ring of ice pillars around you that contracts over 4 seconds — if you don't escape by dashing through a gap in the pillars, you take massive damage and get frozen in place. Watch for the blue swirling animation at your feet and immediately identify the nearest gap in the forming pillar ring to dash through.

Fire-based attacks deal bonus damage against the Awakened Ice Admiral due to the elemental weakness mechanic. Flame fruit, Magma fruit, and even fire-enchanted weapons deal noticeably higher damage per hit compared to neutral elements. If you have access to Magma or Flame, this is the fight to use them. The damage bonus is approximately 20-25% per hit, which significantly reduces kill time. If you don't have fire abilities, high-DPS neutral builds still work fine — just expect the fight to last slightly longer.

His ice shard barrage attack launches a fan of 5 ice projectiles in a spread pattern. The center 3 projectiles travel straight, while the outer 2 arc slightly outward. Position yourself directly to his left or right side during this attack to completely avoid the spread pattern. The ice projectiles also apply a slow debuff on hit, which compounds if you take multiple hits — slowed players are at much higher risk of failing to escape the Blizzard Cage, so prioritize never getting hit by the barrage.
